First Album

Kihyun released his debut album The Clan Pt. 2.5: The Final Chapter as a part of Monsta X in March 2017. The album was a huge success and peaked at number 2 spot on the Korean music charts. It also made a name overseas by peaking at number 1 spot on the US Billboard World Music chart.

In March 2022, Kihyun released his solo debut album titled VOYAGER.

He competed in a South Korean survival show No.Mercy in December 2014 and was selected as a trainee for Starship Entertainment.

Kihyun was the 3rd member of the band Monsta X to be confirmed as a trainee with the company.

He made his official debut with the band Monsta X on May 14, 2015.

There were rumors on the internet that during his school days, he used to used to smoke, drink, and also indulged in a fight with girls during his middle school graduation.

Kihyun claims that he is the best cook among all the members of the group and has described the rest members as horrible cooks. He is also the cleanest member and is often known as the mother of the group as he is always nagging.
