2013 Summer TCA Tour - Day 9

Tis the season, people. No, not Christmas. That’s too easy. We are talking, ofcourse, about the 2014 Golden Globe nominations. First its SAG, which we mentioned earlier this week. Than we go to Golden Globes. Then it is all Oscars. Really, these are all just the prerequisites before the Oscars. The movies that do well in the Golden Globes, often go on to do well at The Oscars, too. So what about the Golden Globe nominations? Who got the love, and who got snuffed?

LA Times has all the juicy details, but we will tell you the important stuff. I think the biggest surprise for me, involving TV choices atleast, is Brooklyn Nine-Nine. A great show with a great cast getting a nod this early on in its run is often unheard of. The movie choices are not as shocking, as 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle seemed to be the films on most people minds when it came to who deserved Golden Globe nominations.

I will be honest, the single thing I am most excited about when it comes to the Golden Globes this year is the simple fact that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are hosting. In that sense, this may be the best award show on  in 2014.
